Heart Test

Welcome to the Cardiac Medical Screening Program.

This is a project operated by the Public Safety Wellness Foundation to provide a Medical Screening Program for Firefighters and Law Enforcement Officers. This is intended to allow these participants to identify heart disease that they are not aware of by blood tests and a heart imaging scan. If significant abnormalities are detected, our intent is to provide these participants the opportunity to have this treated before a heart attack occurs.

This Medical Screening Program is being provided by the Public Safety Wellness Program with the cooperation and assistance of our hospital-based partners and Quest Diagnostics Clinical Laboratory. The Medical Screening Program is being provided at a discounted cost of approximately $100 to its participants.

In addition to providing this Community Service, we also are conducting a Research Project to identify if there is a better method to identify those individuals that need immediate treatment.
